I disagree that children do not need to play a part in total defence. Singapore is our country, everyone has a part to play in protecting Singapore. I f other countries were to declare war with Singapore, not only the adults suffer . We, children will suffer too. Everyone has a part to play in Total Defence. The soldiers help to fight and protect Singapore. The doctors and nurses takes care of the injured people, and we, children should study hard for the future. Children are the future of Singapore, as one day, all the prime ministers of Singapore will die, and children will take over the role. In order to make Singapore go forward, the children must work hard. I hope all the children in Singapore have the same thoughts as me. Remember everyone, WE, ourselves must protect Singapore, and not depend on other countries for our survival!
